Upon your early morning arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to Colombo.

The drive from the airport to Colombo takes approximately 40 minutes (32 km).

After your long international flight, you will check in at your hotel and have time to relax and refresh.

If you feel comfortable and wish to explore later in the afternoon, we can arrange a Colombo city tour.

Colombo is the commercial capital of Sri Lanka, home to approximately 750,000 residents within the city limits and over 5 million in the greater metropolitan area. The city spans around 37 square kilometers, blending modern urban life with colonial heritage and cultural diversity.

During your city tour, you will visit:

• Old Parliament Building – A historic colonial-era structure overlooking the ocean
• Gangaramaya Temple & Museum – One of the most important Buddhist temples, known for its eclectic architecture and sacred artifacts
• Lotus Tower – The tallest tower in South Asia (350m), offering panoramic city views
• Colombo Port City – A modern reclaimed land development project started in 2014, covering 269 hectares
• Galle Face Green – A lively oceanfront promenade, perfect for a sunset stroll

After the tour, return to your hotel in Colombo for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will begin your journey to Sigiriya.

Along the way, we can make stops for refreshments, coffee, or short breaks whenever you prefer.

Upon arrival in Sigiriya, you will experience a traditional village safari in Hiriwadunna.

Early in the morning (around 5:00 AM), you will leave the hotel to climb the magnificent Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress.

Sigiriya, also known as the “Lion Rock”, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site built in the 5th century AD by King Kashyapa.

Climbing early in the morning allows you to:

• Avoid the heat
• Witness a breathtaking sunrise from the summit
• Climb duration: Approximately 20–30 minutes (depending on pace)

After descending, return to the hotel for breakfast.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Dambulla Dedicated Economic Centre.

Next, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple (Golden Temple).

This site features:

• Over 150 Buddha statues
• Wall and ceiling paintings covering more than 2,000 square meters
• Historical depictions of Sri Lankan heritage

After the visit, return to your hotel.
